The AJ2025 site is divided into Subcamps - 3 Participant, 1 Venturer Scout and 1 Leader. In total there are over 200 Unit sites available for camping. Each unit site is at least 600m2 of reasonably level ground, most with some trees.

The AJ2025 Subcamp Maps are available via 2.2 Site Map.

Each subcamp name was carefully selected to reflect the rich heritage, natural beauty, and vibrant community of the Fraser Coast region, creating a memorable experience that connects everyone to the place we’ll be calling home for the Jamboree.  We’re excited for everyone to discover these special meanings and to celebrate the natural and cultural history of the Fraser Coast during AJ2025.

A dedicated Subcamp Leader is appointed to manage a team at each of the subcamps. The Mungomery Subcamp is managed by the Cheeli Subcamp team, with some specific coordinators assigned to assist leaders.  These teams will be the main contact for Units with the wider Jamboree organisation. Upon arrival, a Subcamp team member will direct each Unit to their Jamboree site.

Accessible amenities have been provided at the Cheeli Subcamp. Some sites in this Subcamp have facilities for battery charging (e.g. for electric wheelchairs). Battery charging facilities for equipment like wheelchair batteries, CPAP ventilators, etc, will be available at Subcamp HQs.

The Subcamp HQs will also be able to store "keep refrigerated" medicines.  Such medication must be clearly labelled, including Unit Number.  Note that any "medicinal Tim Tams" may be confiscated...

Youth Subcamps

These three subcamps are where our youth participants will camp, each with a colour that reflects its identity and a name inspired by the Fraser Coast region’s environment.

Fraser CoastBlue

Named after the Fraser Coast region itself, this subcamp pays honour to the beautiful coastal area and community that surrounds Maryborough. Fraser Coast is known for its pristine beaches, coastal landscapes, and proximity to Fraser Island.

TuanGreen

Inspired by the nearby Tuan State Forest, this green-coloured subcamp brings a touch of local nature to the Jamboree. Tuan State Forest is just a short drive from Maryborough and is a hub for diverse Queensland flora and fauna.

CheeliOrange

Cheelii Lagoon, named after the rare Cheel’s paperbark (Melaleuca cheelii), lends its name to the orange subcamp. This local plant is unique to the area, and Cheeli represents the region’s biodiversity.

 Service Leader Subcamps

These two subcamps will serve as home bases for our Venturer Service Leaders and Adult Service Leaders.

Wook-KooGrey

Venturer Service Leaders will camp in Wook-Koo.  According to Aboriginal legend, Wook-Koo was the first inhabitant.  This is commemorated by the local Wook-Koo park, which is a special place dedicated to Indigenous stories and culture, including an ironbark carving of Wook-Koo.

MungomeryPurple

Adult Service Leaders will camp in Mungomery.  Mungomery takes its name from the last remaining vine forest in the region, a unique and rare ecosystem that highlights the natural beauty and distinctive landscapes of the area.
