EMERGENCY SIREN & PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM

  • The site is equipped with an Emergency Siren & Public Address system which will be activated in the event of a major emergency.
  • When the emergency siren is activated, all participants should (if safe to do so) return to their Unit, Subcamp or Work Zone immediately and remain there until the All Clear is given.
  • Leaders are to support Youth Members and follow the directions of the Emergency Wardens.
  • Leaders will be given a briefing by the Subcamp Leaders or their Team Leader at the start of the Jamboree.


EMERGENCY ALERT - “Beep! Beep! Beep!”

  • All onsite personnel return to the Unit Site, Subcamp or Work Zone and await instructions.


EMERGENCY EVACUATION - “Whoop! Whoop! Whoop!”

  • Follow directions of your Unit Leaders and Emergency Wardens.
  • Do not take personal items unless told you may do so.
  • Proceed safely and calmly with your Unit as directed.


LOCKDOWN - "Ding-dong, ding-dong, ding-dong"

  • Find the nearest shelter and stay out of sight - do not travel on roadways, etc.
  • Take shelter immediately and remain there until the All Clear.


ALL CLEAR

  • The All Clear will be an announcement on the Public Address system and Jamboree Radio Network.
  • Follow the directions of your Unit, Subcamp or Work Zone Leaders to return to normal activities.
  • Note - The alarm tone stopping is NOT an All Clear.


EMERGENCY ALERT PRACTICE - January 6th.

  • An emergency alert practice will take place on Monday 06 January 2025 at 1700hrs (5pm).
  • When the Alert sounds, all youth participants are to return to their Unit Site. 
  • A leader from each Unit Site is to report to the Subcamp warden when everyone is accounted for.
  • Personnel in work zones must all gather at their relevant muster point (e.g., mini arena for those around the Mall and the VIP Function Area for those in K'gari Subcamp.
  • Everyone is to remain in their Unit Site, Subcamp or Work Zone until the All Clear is given.
