At AJ2025, DADS rules apply to everyone, youth and adults alike:

  • No Drugs,
  • No Alcohol,
  • No Discrimination,
  • No Sex

Please follow the DADS rules so that AJ2025 can be the best!

Note, for any youth member tobacco is classed as an illicit drug as it is an offence to purchase or supply tobacco or tobacco products to a minor. There will be specific, clearly marked locations at the Jamboree for Adults to smoke/vape.

Smoking & Vaping is prohibited for Scouts and Venturer Scouts.

Alcohol is banned on the Jamboree site and can only be purchased and consumed in moderation at the off-site Leaders Club

Discrimination comes in many forms. As Scouts we are "brothers" to all Scouts. There will be people from all over the world at the Jamboree all with different religious beliefs, culture and attitudes. Please remember to be accepting of all and not to discriminate against anyone based on their religion, creed, skin colour, sexuality or just because you don't like them.  Bullying & Discrimination is not ok, so please be courageous and report concerns to your leader or the Safety & Security team.

The Jamboree is a time for sharing and enjoyment but this does not mean sex. Any participant caught in any sexual act will be subject to DADS rules. So please remember this when the hormones are raging. For all youth under the age of consent (16 in Queensland) it is illegal and you will be reported to the Queensland Police Service - we have no choice in this matter.

Breaking DADS Rules? There will be consequences. . .

Consequences will range from time-out to and being being sent home.  This is at the complete discretion of your Contingent Leader and the Chief Director.

YOU will pay any transport and associated costs. For Youth this will include the cost & hassle of two Leaders escorting you home and the return fares for those Leaders’ to the Jamboree.

Breaking a law may result in jail time, so do not break any laws! The Queensland Police Service has clearly stated that being Scouts does not make us above the law.

A report will be sent to your Branch for follow up and management.
