Any participant who has or uses alcohol or illicit drugs at the Jamboree will be sent home at their own expense.

Queensland law does not provide for personal use allowances for illegal drug possession; any amount could lead to an arrest. Please be aware that police dogs may be on-site during the Jamboree.

All buildings, tents and marquees and other Jamboree sites are total non-smoking areas.

Smoking & Vaping is prohibited for Scouts and Venturer Scouts.

The Jamboree site is a smoke free zone, apart from limited specific designated smoking locations for adults.  Anyone found to be breaching this policy will be dealt with by the line system or repeated breaches will be dealt with by the SafeTrans Directorate and Queensland Police Service.

Under the Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Act 1998 (Qld) smoking is prohibited in all non-designated areas of the AJ2025 site. Adults who smoke on the site, in an area not designated for smoking commit an offence against the Act, to which fines apply; and may be immediately evicted from the site.  Designated smoking areas will be clearly signed, fenced off from youth access and located in areas only generally accessed by Adults - e.g. adjacent to Contingent Headquarters, Subcamp Headquarters, the Witches Hat Building; and the Main Arena (back of house).  Cigarette butts must be disposed of responsibly.

In Queensland, vapes and electronic cigarette products containing nicotine are illegal unless on prescription and supplied by a pharmacist or through Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) processes. Vapes are smoking products and subject to the same laws as tobacco or cigarettes.
