During AJ2025 there will be two specific ways that youth participants can provide feedback, be consulted and engage in collaborative discussions about their adventures with others. The Youth forums will take place in two parts across the duration of Jamboree.

  • Part 1 – All youth participants
  • Part 2 – Invited youth participants, selected by each Australian Contingent

Part 1 – The Survey “Your Voice”

Across the first six days of the Jamboree, Duty Patrols in Unit Lines will be required to complete a short survey about their experience thus far.

  • Including this small ‘additional’ activity as part of the Duty Patrols responsibility will ensure that every youth participant onsite has had the chance to be consulted and provide feedback.
  • The survey will include a small number of multiple choice or short response questions. Some questions will be answered as a Patrol and some questions will be answered individually.
  • The survey will be completed electronically on the Unit tablet.

Part 2 – The Youth Forum “Our Voice”

On Market Day/Future Scout Day (Saturday 11th January) the selected representatives from each Contingent will be invited to participate in a Youth Forum.

  • Each Contingent will be required to select a total of eight representatives to attend the Youth Forum.

The Youth Forum will be divided into two parts:

  • Exploring a summary of the data collated from the surveys completed by participants over the first week of AJ2025.
  • Deeper consideration of the AJ2025 experience and make recommendations for future Major Events.

The Youth Forum will be conducted in an interactive way which will allow participants to engage with the content in a way that best suits their needs. There will be opportunities to:

  • Record short snippets of feedback (to camera)
  • Create posters, draw pictures or brainstorm ideas on paper
  • Collaborate with each other through rich, thought-provoking conversation.

At the conclusion of the Youth Forum a wrap up report will be produced and circulated to the JEC and Contingent Teams.
