What to Expect
When you arrive at Your Discovery, you'll be free to select the activities that interest your patrol:
- Robot Discovery Lab - each session will run for 15 minutes, battle it out in a first-person free-for-all robot war! You will attend a 5 minute training session and then play a 10 minute, 6 player game. Who in your patrol will be the robot champion. All high scores will be recorded on the "Robot Discovery Lab hall of Fame". You can queue for this activity or book a time slot at the admin tent - make sure you come back for your time slot!
- 3D Printing - The 3D Printing Base is an engaging and hands-on activity designed to introduce participants to the exciting world of 3D printing. Visitors can drop in anytime during the Jamboree and participate in a 30-minute session combining education, creativity, and practical experience.
- Exploratorium Museum - Come and visit The Exploratorium, a Scouts Science museum with interactive exhibits and activities. Drop-in anytime and stay as long as you like.
- LEGO Masters - Join us for a Lego building challenge, a new challenge starts every 30 minutes or just drop in for a few build session.
- Solder On: an electronics activity - You must register your choice to do this activity- come to the Your Discovery Admin tent and book your session. In this activity you will assemble and solder your very own electronic tent light. Positions are limited, 12 patrols at once can attend, each session will run for 1.5 hours and we can run two per visit.
- Scrabble Club - have you ever wanted to learn to play Scrabble with world-class professional Scrabble players - there will also be some other fun word games on offer.
- Wonders of Flight - a fast-paced drop in activity - can you hit the target with your rocket launcher. Come and learn the basics of flight, scout-style.
