Badge swapping is an integral part of the Jamboree experience, and it’s a fantastic way to meet new people and collect badges from across the country and overseas.
Here’s what you can swap:
- Contingent Badges - Try to collect one from each State.
- Subcamp Badges - there's one for each of our Subcamps.
- District Badges - Bring some from home to swap with other Scouts you meet.
- Special Event Badges - Look out for unique badges from special events.
There's also an authorised Badge Club on site. These clubs are permitted for educational purposes only and are a great opportunity to learn about the history and significance of various badges. Please note that only authorised Badge Clubs are allowed, and they are there to enrich your Jamboree experience.
Remember, badge swapping is meant to be a fun and friendly activity. Here are a few important guidelines to keep it enjoyable for everyone:
- Be fair and friendly. Take the time to chat, not just swap a badge.
- Follow the "one badge for one badge, like for like" rule.
- Adults can only swap badges with other adults, not with youth members.
- Badges are not to be sold, except in authorised shops.
Let’s make badge swapping a memorable and respectful part of AJ2025!
